Kim Bolen McGrew, MA, LPA, LCAS-A is a clinical psychologist certified by the North Carolina Psychology Board. She has extensive experience providing individual psychotherapy services to adolescents and adults with a variety of emotional and behavioral concerns. She also provides family and marriage counseling services. Through a collaborative approach, Kim strives to help clients reach their personal goals while providing empathy and respect as the foundations of treatment.
She specializes in treating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, personality disorders, posttraumatic stress, substance abuse and dependence, relationship issues, and difficulty adjusting to life transitions. Kim is committed to utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing. She also incorporates techniques from the Gottman Method, which integrates over 40 years of research-based interventions to help individuals and couples improve their interpersonal and romantic relationships.
