Kim Bolen McGrew, MA, LPA, LCAS is a clinical psychologist certified by the North Carolina Psychology Board. She has extensive experience providing individual psychotherapy services to adults with a variety of emotional and behavioral concerns. She also provides family and marriage counseling services. Through a collaborative approach, Kim strives to help clients reach their personal goals while providing empathy and respect as the foundations of treatment.


She specializes in treating individuals who are experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, low self-esteem, perfectionism, people-pleasing patterns, burnout, relationship conflict, social challenges, difficulty making decisions, grief/loss, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma/post-traumatic stress, addiction recovery, and trouble with life transitions and difficult circumstances (e.g., college issues, career decisions/changes, marriage, breakup/divorce, building new relationships, parenting, empty nest, retirement, managing health conditions, and family caregiver responsibilities). Kim is committed to utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing. She also incorporates techniques from the Gottman Method to help individuals and couples improve their interpersonal and romantic relationships. Kim is passionate about helping individuals discover a sense of purpose, clarify their values, and achieve a deeper sense of meaning in their lives.
